Selection dissapears if one presses the Esc key in the editing mode

Scenario to reproduce:

1. Open an MCA.
2. Select a character.
3. Press Shift + I (or Shift + R).
   Expected state UGENE has switched to the editing mode, there is a blinking cursor near the selected character (or bar around the character).
4. Press the Esc key.
   Expected state: UGENE has switched to the viewing mode, the selection is still present.
   Current state: UGENE has switched to the viewing mode, the selection has cleared.
